November Newsletter 2003

In this issue:

In lieu of the tragedy that has overcome our fine city, the food basket that was for our military families, will be headed for the Red Cross to assist the families that lost so much. We will accept non-perishable food, blankets, clothing, socks, diapers, baby food, toiletries or whatever you can spare. Remember, these families lost everything, so anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. Tell your friends. Drop off is here in the office.

Taking personal responsibility for your health

Yah, you see me on the street and you walk out of your way to avoid me saying to yourself, “He's going to ask me why I haven't been in”.

We call you on the phone, we send you goofy cards, newsletters, e-mail and even a free birthday adjustment to remind you it's time for a tune-up. But you ignore your body, or just keep putting it off.

Well, hey, we love you and you have to admit, you feel better after an adjustment, don't you.

And all the extra stuff you get when you come in, quality service, individual attention, exercises, stretching, nutrition, etc., etc.

Sooo…, why aren't you taking better care of yourself and making an appointment to come in? Why aren't you telling your friends and loved ones about how great you feel when you leave?

Susan S. is the mother of two wonderful children – Joshua (3 years) and Mackenzie (5 months). Along with pre-natal care, walking and aquatic classes, she received weekly chiropractic adjustments throughout both pregnancies. Susan is convinced that regular chiro care contributed significantly to her short, relatively pain-free deliveries. Both healthy children arrived after laboring for just 55 minutes for Joshua, 90 minutes for Mackenzie. Without the use of drugs during labor and delivery! And she had no stretch marks!*

Buzz around the office

Thanks to everyone that has given us e-mail addresses. Keep them coming. Isn't saving trees fun?

We have a few takers for the stretch class. But to convince Elaine to get up earlier in the morning, she will need to have at least 5 people per class.

We will be giving out toiletry baskets to the local battered women's shelter. Items can be dropped off here in the office anytime. The local Girl Scout Troop #3033 will be assembling them for us for delivery.

* Susan S. has a great natural cream that enabled her skin to maintain its natural shape and elasticity during her two pregnancies. The result? NO STRETCHMARKS! Susan says anyone can use it. If you are interested in obtaining some of this natural cream, let us know, and we will get you connected with Susan.

Fitness Tip of the Month

Strength in numbers. Numerous studies have shown that people stick to their weight loss and fitness plans better if they do it with a buddy, or group of friends.

There are many reasons for this. Others can motivate us on those days when we need it, appreciate our successes, and offer advice and ideas for achieving our goals. In terms of weight loss, it can also immensely helpful to be around a friend who is also making (sometimes difficult) food choices.
